Job Confidence is low - here’s what to do!

Job Seeker Confidence is LOWWhat a Terrible Way to Search for a Job.

Here’s 2 numbers that are upsetting from an “Indeed Job Search Survey”

% of people searching for a job ……..

….who were “At Least Somewhat Confident” they can find work in a month.

ONLY 34% of job seekers (who not currently in a job)

Only 48% of job searchers (who were currently in a job)

…..So that leaves a lot of people on the other side of that stat – NOT CONFIDENT

And I repeat what a terrible way to job search

If you are one of those people –

Let me try and help you build that confidence.

Start by thinking DEEPLY about your experiences

…..and what you offer of value to a company

….. that they are looking for in a hire.

YOU are your most Important Investment !

So spend time digging into yourself . It’s time is well spent!!

Here’s FIVE things to consider

1) INTERESTS:

What type of work interests you broadly & the day-to-day activities you want to do

2) VALUES & ENVIRONMENT:

What values do you want to see reflected (eg. diversity, growth)

& what environment do you thrive amongst (eg. innovative, forward-thinking, growth?)

3) YOUR UNIQUE & DESIRABLE SKILLS:

A “Problem Solver” – is not unique

….but a….

“creative & collaborative problem solver that consistently unlocks innovative solutions”

 – now that has my interest

-- & make sure it is true to the core – not AI generated

 Think of your top 3

 4) VISION:

Where would you like to go in your career (as best you can see right now)

 5) GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT

What Skills or Experiences or Exposures

…do you need to get you to that vision?

Of course, there are other things to consider

BUT START with these 5 things - looking deeply at yourself

 THEN start

looking for jobs that are a close match.

I am Confidently predicting -- You will feel better about your search
