Interview Presence:

Communication is a skill to build over a lifetime.

So have a vision for what you wish to become as a speaker

See the positive vision

Don’t focus on the vision of your mis-steps

Learn from them and then move on to the positive vision

Here are a few things to focus on:

Be a Storyteller Have a structure and make it interesting (be authentic & truthful)

Pause Speak using the Pause as it shows power/confidence

Cadence Speak with cadence. It’s powerful & allows people to listen & process what you’re saying

Hand Gestures Speak with open hand gestures as it communicate confidence and openness

Eye contact Ensure you meet eyes – but don’t fixate or make it intense

Be curious What are their needs? Align what you offer of value to their needs

There is so much to great communication

But the key is to remember, it’s a skill to build
